What this is
Dr. West is a work of fiction you can talk to: a character portrayed by an artificial intelligence. The name, the training, the office on West 87th, the forty years — all of it is invented, and none of it confers a license, a credential, or a clinical skill. What is real is the conversation, the file he keeps on it, and whatever you do with his questions.
What this is not
This is not therapy, medical care, psychological treatment, diagnosis, or professional advice of any kind, and using it creates no clinician–patient relationship. West is a mentor and a sparring partner. If you need care, get care — his own rules require him to point you toward humans, and the practice's published protocol explains exactly what happens when the screening layer thinks you might be in danger. In an emergency, call your local emergency number, or 988 in the US.
Who may sit
Adults only — you must be 18 or older, and every path to a session asks you to affirm it. Admission to the practice is by application and is the practice's to grant, decline, or revoke. One person, one file: accounts are not shared.
The arrangement
The Correspondence is a monthly subscription for written and voice-note conversation. Office Hours adds live face-to-face minutes, which are metered; more minutes can be bought when the included ones run out. You can cancel any time from the billing portal and the arrangement ends at the period you paid through. A lapsed arrangement closes the channels; your file sits where it sat until you return or delete it. Prices may change; existing subscribers get notice before their price does.
Your words, his notes
Your words remain yours. His case notes on you live in your file, which you can export or delete at any time — the privacy page says precisely what deletion removes and what remains. You agree not to use the practice to harm yourself or others, to abuse the systems that run it, or to put West's voice or face to work he never did.
The honest disclaimer
The practice is provided as it is, without warranties. An AI character can be wrong, can misremember, and can misjudge — treat his opinions as material for your own judgment, not a substitute for it. To the extent the law allows, the practice's liability to you is limited to what you paid it in the last twelve months. Some places do not allow such limits, in which case they apply only as far as permitted.
